Your Mac has two font folders. One in your user account library folder and the other in your hard drive library folder. Not sure what the difference is? Well read on, this should explain it all for you.

There are a couple of ways to load new fonts onto your Mac and also a couple of locations in which to load your fonts. One being adding fonts to your Mac system allowing them to be accessed by all users and the second is adding them to your user account allowing them to be accessed only by you. Both of which I'll go through here in this quick lesson.

Method One - Install Mac Fonts for All User Accounts

System Fonts

You'll find your Mac's system fonts in your HD > Library Folder > Font Folder.

Fonts in this folder are accessible by all user accounts on your mac and to add fonts simple drag fonts into this Font folder and they're added. Nothing more, that's it.

Method Two - Install Mac Fonts on Your User Account

User Fonts

Fonts for an individual user account will be found in the User Account Folder > Library > Fonts.

Again, to add fonts you can simple drag them into this font folder and they will be added to this user account but there is an even easier way to add user fonts.
